State Route 8 in the Cities of Stow, Cuyahoga Falls and Hudson

(Monday, September 17 until further notice)

Beginning on Monday, September 17, SR 8 northbound and southbound between Graham Rd. and SR 303 will have various daily lane restrictions for shoulder reconstruction through mid-November. This $58 million pavement reconstruction project is scheduled to be completed by summer 2022.

 

Interstate 76 & Main Street in the City of Akron

The Main St. entrance ramp to I-76 eastbound isCLOSED through late September 2018 for a bridge replacement. The southbound detour is E. Thornton St. to Grant St. to I-76.

The following traffic pattern and ramp closures are in place through late October 2018:

I-76 eastbound and westbound from just east of SR 59/Innerbelt to just east of I-77/SR 8/Central Interchange is reduced to two lanes in each direction, with all traffic crossed over onto on the westbound lanes of I-76.The ramp from Lakeshore Blvd. to I-76 eastbound is CLOSED. The detours are northbound Lakeshore Blvd. to W Thornton St. to E Grant St. or southbound Lakeshore Blvd. to Miller to Wolf Ledges to South to Grant.The ramp from I-76 eastbound to I-77 southbound is CLOSED. The detour is I-76/Kenmore Leg westbound to I-277 eastbound to I-77 southbound.

         The ramp from I-77 northbound to I-76 westbound is CLOSED for roadway reconstruction.The detour is I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound.

Main St. and Broadway St. between Miller Rd. and Bartges St. has various lane restrictions for roadway construction. This work is part of an $84 million project to reconstruct I-76/Main St. and Broadway St. interchange in the City of Akron. Interstate 76 in the Cities of Norton and Barberton

The ramp from Cleveland Massillon Rd. to I-76 eastbound is CLOSED through early October. The detour is Cleveland Massillon Rd. to SR 261 to Barber Rd.

The following restrictions and closure are in place through spring 2019 for the reconstruction of the Cleveland Massillon Rd. bridge over I-76:

Cleveland Massillon Rd. over I-76 is reduced to one lane in each directionI-76 westbound to Cleveland Massillon Rd. is restricted to a right turn only for trucks. The truck detour is I-76 westbound to SR 21 south to I-76 eastbound to Cleveland Massillon Rd.

The following traffic patterns are in place:

SR 261 under I-76 and SR 21 under I-76 will have various nightly lane restrictions for roadway construction.Motorists traveling on I-76 eastbound from just west of SR 94 to SR 619/Wooster Rd. should be aware of a bi-directional traffic pattern. Although two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction on I-76, eastbound traffic is split, with one lane of eastbound traffic crossed over onto I-76 westbound, while the second lane remains on I-76 eastbound. Motorists wishing to exit at Wooster Rd./SR 619, Barber Rd., State St., Cleveland Massillon Rd., SR 21 and SR 261 should remain in the right lane.

I-76 between the Medina County line and Central Ave. has occasional nightly lane restrictions for pavement widening. This work is part of an $80.4 million project to reconstruct the pavement on I-76 between the Medina County line and Central Ave. The project also includes the widening of I-76 between SR 21 and Central Ave. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2019.

 

State Route 91 in the City of Twinsburg

SR 91 between Glenwood Ave. and the Cuyahoga County line has various daily lane restrictions for widening. This $4.1 million widening project on SR 91 is scheduled to be completed by late August 2019.

 

State Route 93 in the City of Akron

(until further notice)

Maryland Ave., under SR 93 has various daily lane restrictions for bridge repairs. This $1.9 million bridge repair project is scheduled to be completed by late August 2019.

 

US Route 224 & State Route 532 in the Village of Mogadore and Springfield Township

(until further notice)

The following routes have various lane restrictions for resurfacing:

         US 224 from just east of Oakwood Dr. to Cleveland Ave.

         SR 532 from US 224 to I-76.

This $1 million resurfacing project on US 224 and SR 532 is scheduled to be complete by mid-October 2018.

 

State Route 619 in the City of Green

(until further notice)

SR 619 at Pickle Rd. is closed through early November while the city of Green constructs a roundabout. The detour is I-77.
