***NEW*** Cleveland Massillon Rd. in the City of Norton (Monday, July 22 – until further notice) Beginning on Monday, July 22, Cleveland Massillon Rd. just south of Trotter Rd. at the railroad tracks will be closedthrough early August. The detour will be Norton Ave. to 15th St. to Hopocan St. to Hillsdale St. to Shannon Ave. (until further notice) Cleveland Massillon Rd. between Plesasant Dr. and just north of the City of Barberton Corporation limit has various daily lane restrictions for roadway work. This $8 million widening project on Cleveland Massillon Rd. is scheduled to be completed by August 2020.   State Route 8 in the Cities of Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Hudson & the Village of Boston Heights (Sunday, July 14 – Wednesday, July 17) Beginning Sunday night, July 14, SR 8 southbound will be reduced to one lane nightly between Steels Corners Rd. and Graham Rd., through Wednesday morning, July 17 for drainage repairs. These restrictions will be in place nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. (Monday, July 15 – until further notice) Beginning Monday, July 15, SR 303 under SR 8 will have various nigtly lane restrictions between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. through late July for bridge repairs. (until further notice) Hampshire Rd. under SR 8 will be restricted to one lane through late August for bridge painting. (until further notice) SR 8 northbound and southbound between Graham Rd. and SR 303 is reduced to two lanes through late October for roadway reconstruction. This $58.6 million project is scheduled to be completed by July 2022.   Interstate 76 & Main Street in the City of Akron (Saturday, July 13) On Saturday, July 13, Grant St. between South St. and Thornton St. will be closed between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. for bridge sealing. The detour will be Thornton St. to Wolf Ledges St. to South St. (until further notice) The following ramps are closed through late October 2019: ·         The ramp from SR 8 southbound to I-76 westbound is CLOSED. The detour is I-77 southbound to I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound. ·         The ramp from Main St. to I-76 westbound will be CLOSEDthrough late fall 2019. The detour will be Bartges St. to Dart St. to SR 261 to SR 59 to I-76 westbound. ·         The ramp from Lakeshore Blvd.to I-76 eastbound is CLOSED. The detours are northbound Lakeshore Blvd. to W. Thornton St. to Main St. or southbound Lakeshore Blvd. to Miller Rd. to Wolf Ledges to South St. to Main St. (until further notice) Main St. and Broadway St. between Miller Rd. and Bartges St. has various lane restrictions for roadway construction. This work is part of an $84 million project to reconstruct I-76/Main St. and Broadway St. interchange in the City of Akron. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by July 2020.   Interstate 76 in the City of Akron (Monday, July 15) On Monday, July 15, Central Ave. under I-76 between Elmwood Ave. and Goodrich Ave. will close permanently. (Sunday July 21 – Monday, July 22) On Sunday evening, July 21 at 7 p.m., the following ramps will be closed through Monday morning, July 22 at 6 a.m. for bridge repairs: ·         The ramp from I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound. The detour will be I-76 westbound to SR 21 northbound to I-77. ·         The ramp from I-76 eastbound/US 224 eastbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound. The detour will be I-277 eastbound to I-77 northbound to I-76 westbound. The detour will be I-77 northbound to SR 21 southbound to I-76. ·         The ramp from 22nd St. to I-76/Kenmore Leg westbound. The detour will be Kenmore Blvd/ to SR 93 southbound to Waterloo Rd. to I-277 or Kenmore Blvd. to SR 619.   Interstate 77 in the Village of Richfield (Monday, July 29 – until further notice) Beginning on Monday, July 29, the ramp from SR 21 to I-77 northbound and southbound will be closed through mid-September, while the Ohio Turnpike performs bridge and pavement repairs at SR 21 and I-80. The detour will be SR 21 southbound to I-77 southbound or SR 21 southbound to Miller Rd.     ***ONGOING***     Howe Avenue in the City of Cuyahoga Falls (until further notice) Howe Ave. eastbound between Main St. and Bucholzer Blvd. isCLOSED through late September for roadway reconstruction. The detour is Main St. to Independence Ave. to Bucholzer Blvd. This $5.9 million reconstruction project on Howe Ave. is scheduled to be completed by September 2020.   State Route 8 in the City of Cuyahoga Falls (until further notice) SR 8 northbound and southbound between Broad Blvd. and Portage Trail will have various nightly lane restrictions through late July for bridge repairs. These restrictions will occur nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. (until further notice) Broad Blvd. under SR 8 has various daily and nightly lane restrictions for bridge repairs.   State Routes 18 & 261 in the City of Akron (until further notice) The following routed have various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing: ·         SR 18/W. Market St. from Hawkins Ave. to Portage Path ·         SR 261 from SR 18/W. Market St. to Perkins St. ·         SR 261 from Olive St. to SR 261/Tallmadge Ave. This $1 million resurfacing project is scheduled to be completed by September 2019.   State Route 59 in the City of Akron (until further notice) SR 59 over I-76 has various daily lane restrictions for bridge sealing and patching. This $900,000 bridge repair project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2019.   Interstate 76 in the Cities of Norton and Barberton (until further notice) I-76 eastbound and westbound between Central Ave. and the Medina County line has various nightly lane restrictions for resurfacing. This $80.4 million widening project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2019. Interstate 77 in the City of Green and Springfield Township (until further notice) I-77 northbound and southbound between the Stark County line to just south of SR 241 has various nightly lane restrictions for resurfacing. These restrictions will occur nightly between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. (until further notice) The following routes have various lane restrictions for bridge repairs. ·         Wise Rd. between Max Rd. and Ariss Park ·   Graybill Rd. between Franks Parkway and Greenwood Early Learning Center ·         Massillon Rd. between Boyer Parkway and Toepfer Rd. ·         Airport Rd. between I-77 northbound and Lauby Rd. ·         Greensburg Rd. between Lauby Rd. and Mayfair Rd. This $4.8 million project to resurface I-77 and perform bridge repairs is scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2019.   State Route 91 in the City of Twinsburg (until further notice) Ethan Dr. at SR 91 IS closedthrough early August for roadway construction. The detour is Glenwood Dr. to Ethan Dr. (until further notice) Meado wood Blvd. at SR 91 is closedthrough early August for roadway construction. The detour is SR 91 to Glenwood Dr. to Scenic View Dr. (until further notice) SR 91 between Glenwood Dr. and the Cuyahoga County line has various daily lane restrictions for widening. This $4.1 million widening project on SR 91 is scheduled to be completed by late August 2019.   Interstate 480 in the Cities of Hudson & Twinsburg and Twinsburg Township (until further notice) I-480 between the Cuyahoga County line and the Portage County line has daily and nightly lane restrictions for bridge repairs. (until further notice) The following roads at I-480 have various lane restrictions for bridge repairs: ·         SR 82 ·         SR 91 ·         Bedford Rd. ·         Shephard Rd. ·         Stow Rd. ·         Old Mill Rd. ·         Middletown Rd. This $2.8 million resurfacing and bridge repair project is scheduled to be complete by late July 2019.
