Interstate 76 & Main Street in the City of Akron

(Saturday, November 17)

On Saturday, November 17, the following traffic pattern changes will occur, weather depending:

I-76 eastbound will be crossed back over onto the newly constructed I-76 eastbound pavement.

∑         The Main St. entrance ramp to I-76 eastbound will re-open.

The ramp from I-76 eastbound to I-77 southbound will re-open.The ramp from Grant St. to I-76 eastbound willclose permanently.

Thornton St. between Main St. and Wolf Ledges Parkway is reduced to one lane in each direction through late spring 2019 for roadway construction.

The following ramp closure is in place through late December 2018:

∑         The ramp from I-77 northbound to I-76 westbound is CLOSED for roadway reconstruction.The detour is I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound.

The following ramp is closed through late September 2019:

∑         The ramp from SR 8 southbound to I-76 westbound is CLOSED. The detour is I-77 southbound to I-277 westbound to I-76/Kenmore Leg eastbound.

∑         The ramp from Lakeshore Blvd.to I-76 eastbound is CLOSED. The detours are northbound Lakeshore Blvd. to W. Thornton St. to E. Grant St. or southbound Lakeshore Blvd. to Miller Rd. to Wolf Ledges to South St. to Grant St.

Main St. and Broadway St. between Miller Rd. and Bartges St. has various lane restrictions for roadway construction. This work is part of an $84 million project to reconstruct I-76/Main St. and Broadway St. interchange in the City of Akron. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by July 2020.

 

State Route 93 in the City of Akron

(Friday, November 16 Ė Monday, November 19)

SR 93 between Kenmore Blvd. and Wilbeth Rd. isclosed through Monday, November 19, for bridge repairs. The detour is Waterloo Rd. to I-277 to I-76/Kenmore Leg to Kenmore Blvd.

Maryland Ave., under SR 93 has various daily lane restrictions for bridge repairs. This $1.9 million bridge repair project is scheduled to be completed by late August 2019.

State Route 8 in the Cities of Stow, Cuyahoga Falls and Hudson

(until further notice)

SR 8 northbound and southbound between Graham Rd. and SR 303 has various daily and nightly lane restrictions for pavement repairs through mid-November. This $58 million pavement reconstruction project is scheduled to be completed by summer 2022.

 

Interstate 76 in the Cities of Norton and Barberton

(until further notice)

The following restrictions and closure are in place through spring 2019 for the reconstruction of the Cleveland Massillon Rd. bridge over I-76:

Cleveland Massillon Rd. over I-76 is reduced to one lane in each directionI-76 westbound to Cleveland Massillon Rd. is restricted to a right turn only for trucks. The truck detour is I-76 westbound to SR 21 south to I-76 eastbound to Cleveland Massillon Rd.

I-76 between the Medina County line and Central Ave. has occasional nightly lane restrictions for pavement widening. This work is part of an $80.4 million project to reconstruct the pavement on I-76 between the Medina County line and Central Ave. The project also includes the widening of I-76 between SR 21 and Central Ave. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2019.

 

State Route 91 in the City of Twinsburg

Ethanís Dr. at SR 91 is closed through late December for roadway widening. The detour is SR 91 to Glenwood Ave. to Ethanís Dr.

SR 91 between Glenwood Ave. and the Cuyahoga County line has various daily lane restrictions for widening. This $4.1 million widening project on SR 91 is scheduled to be completed by late August 2019.

 

State Route 619 in the City of Green

(until further notice)

SR 619 at Pickle Rd. is closed through late November while the city of Green constructs a roundabout. The detour is I-77.
