HEROIN TRAFFICKER ARRESTED IN STARK COUNTY

Sheriff George T. Maier reports that the Stark County Metro Narcotics Unit arrested 35 year-old Davis Hill of 1303 – 13th Street NW, Canton.  Hill was arrested following a 5-month long investigation into drug trafficking in Stark County.  Stark County Sheriff’s Office Metro Agents executed a search warrant on Tuesday, July 2nd. 

Following the search warrant agents seized nearly a kilo of heroin as well as cash.  Agents also seized 2 firearms that were located inside the residence.  Hill was transported to the Stark County Jail and charged with the following:  Felony 1 Possession of Heroin, Felony 1 Trafficking in Heroin, Felony 3 Having Weapons under Disability, Misdemeanor 4 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Hill remains incarcerated at the Stark County Jail on 1.5 million dollar bond.  Sheriff Maier said, “This is part of our commitment to stop the trafficking in heroin that has a drastic effect on the citizens of Stark County.  I am confident that our continued efforts to combat the heroin epidemic here in Stark County saves lives and contributes to a safer community”.
