According to Sheriff Doak, on June 30, 2018 at about 9:35am The Cortland Bank located in Mantua Township was robbed. The suspect, one black male entered the bank and was dressed as a woman. The suspect handed the teller a note and demanded money be placed in his purse/bag. The suspect fled the scene.
According to Sheriff Doak after a two-month long investigation, on Wednesday August 29, 2018, Sheriff’s Deputies located and arrested the suspect, one Patrick Bonner, 39 years of age of 11105 Dove Ave., Cleveland, Ohio. Upon his arrest he was charged with aggravated robbery, a felony in the first degree and booked into the Portage County Jail. Additional charges are pending.
Portage County jail records show Bonner was booked into the jail at 8:18 pm and was scheduled to appear in court on August 30, 2018 at 1:15 pm.
